How do I enable/disable my CNC Accessories?

This article assumes your accessory is physically installed into your CNC, if that is not the case please refer to your accessories installation guide.
Have a CNC accessory that you're unable to use because its icons are missing after a fresh install of the software?
This is a common occurrence after you receive a new computer, your IT Department comes through to re-image your computers or you update the CNC control software.

Configure CNCBase or CNC Motion

  1. Go to Start -> All Apps -> CNCBase Configuration folder (If using CNCMotion, find that folder instead)

  2. Click on the Options tab at the top of the screen.
You'll see a list of currently installed option, example shown below.
To Disable an option: Highlight the option you would like to remove, click the Remove button at the bottom, and follow any other prompts you may receive.

  3. Click Reinstall at the bottom of the window.

  4. You'll be presented with a list of available accessories as seen in the example below.
The list you see may change between a milling and turning CNC.
To Enable: You'll want to check the accessory or accessories you're installing, following any on-screen prompts you may receive.

  5. Click the Reinstall... button and confirm that Installed Options section shows your selected accessories, and then click OK.
In our example below, we installed the Jogging Handwheel.

  6. You'll be asked if you want to launch the software, click yes to do that or no if you're not quite ready yet.

  7. Next time the control software launches, you'll be able to operate the accessory.

After you've installed the options

You'll now be able to operate the accessory within the CNC control software by it's control icons as applicable, examples shown below.
Some accessories, such as the ATC, may require additional configuration before use.
