About Intelitek Software Licensing
A licensing agreement protect Intelitek software.
If the software is installed without a license, you can use the fully operational software for an evaluation period, after which the software continues to function in a limited state.
To enable full functionality of the software after the evaluation period, it must be unlocked via LearnMate content or a stand-alone license.
Intelitek offers three stand-alone licensing options for a software license’s duration and expiration date, for a specific version of software:
- Permanent: A permanent license has no expiration date.
- Subscription: A subscription license is limited to a specific number of days from activation.
- Expiration Date: An expiration date license expires at a specific date.
Workstation Licensing
You must have administrator access in order to perform the activation process, if you do not have that please contact your IT Department.
The workstation licensing type is used to license Intelitek software for a single workstation, sometimes referred to as a client or computer.
There are two ways to activate an Intelitek License:
- Online: If the PC is connected to the Internet, it can be licensed by entering a License/Product Key that is verified over the Internet automatically with our license server.
- Offline: If the PC is not connected to the Internet, it can be licensed by entering a License Activation Code that can be obtained from Intelitek.
- The Offline process requires transferring a text file you will create from and to the workstation you are trying to activate. This is best done with a USB flash drive.
Online Activation
In order to activate Intelitek software on a workstation over the internet, you need the License/Key that was received when you purchased the software license.
The license the software:
- Open the software as an administrator by right-clicking its icon on your Desktop or in the Windows Start menu, and selecting Run as administrator.
In some versions of Windows, you may need to click 'More' to see Run as administrator.
The intelitek Licensing window is displayed with current license status, which may be Evaluation or Expired.
If Workstation Licensing and Online are not already selected, do so now.
Then click
Activate. The License Activation window is displayed.
Enter your Product Key. For best results, please highlight and copy the key from your delivery e-mail, then use the Paste button to enter it.
Click OK. The workstation will connect to our licensing server, validate your license and if seats are available, activate your software with a LICENSED status.
In this example, we activated a subscription license. Depending on your license type, the status will display that your software is licensed or when it expires. If you feel the status is not correct, please contact Intelitek Support for assistance.
- Click OK, and the software will launch!
If you receive an
Invalid Product Key error message, first double that that the product key you entered is accurate. If you manually typed the key in from a hand written note, please verify the note has the license written correctly. If the key is correct,
please contact Intelitek Support for assistance.
Offline Activation
In order to activate the software on a workstation offline, you require a license activation code. This procedure details how to obtain this code from Intelitek in order to activate offline.
To license the software offline:
- Open the software as an administrator by right-clicking its icon on your Desktop or in the Windows Start menu, and selecting Run as administrator.
In some versions of Windows, you may need to click 'More' to see Run as administrator.
The intelitek Licensing window is displayed with current license status, which may be Evaluation or Expired.
Select the Workstation Licensing model.
Select the
Offline method. This will display a unique Machine Code specific to your workstation.
Use the Copy button to copy this code to Windows clipboard.
The machine and activation codes are very lengthy and include special characters, if you submit a picture or hand-write the code, we will request your code be submitted as described here in steps 5-7 to ensure success first time around.
Create a document file (Word, text, etc.) on your computer, and save that file to a USB flash drive.
Please include your License/Product Key and the software you are trying to activate to avoid delays.
We will generate and send you an Activation code within 2-3 business days, but valid requests are usually processed same-day.
When you receive the code, copy and paste it from our response into a document file and save that file to your USB flash drive.
Ensure you copy the entire code, with no leading or trailing spaces. As this is a very long code that includes special characters, it is not recommended that you hand-write the code.
Bring your USB flash drive back to the computer with the software to activate, and copy the Activation code from your document file to your Windows clipboard.
Launch the software (repeat steps 1-4 as necessary) and click the Activate button.
A License Activation window will display.
With your Activation Code copied, click the Paste button, then click OK.
Our software will validate the
Activation Code, and if successful you'll receive a LICENSED status.
Click OK, and the software will launch!
If you receive an error, please go verify you are attempting to license the correct software, and if so, repeat the process starting at step 8.
